I just started watching the latest season! So twisting and confusing that it's awesome!

The only thing I don't like currently is that I felt Locke telling jack "bad things started to happen on the island" felt more dramatic when we heard it and the island jumping in time didn't really live up to his cryptic message. Small potatoes though. Lost is awesome.

I wonder if we'll get any follow up as to what happened with the island group of Sawyer, Jin, Dan, Miles and Juliette in between Locke moving the island again and when Jin found Jack, Hurley and Kate in the lake. There's a lot of unanswered questions, untold scenarios, and plenty of timelines that weren't shown yet and I'd be pissed if time jumping is over and we never get to see the Black Rock getting there or what that four toed statue was. Time jumping was the perfect way to explain them. I have a feeling we'll get our answers though, since Jin was driving the VW bus in very good condition meaning it was from an older timeline and Jin was dressed in Dharma coveralls meaning he might be undercover at Dharma at the moment. It would be funny if time jumping stopped and it was the 1970's on the island.

@Onyxmeth: I think the 4 toed statue was just some random easter egg.

Qual é, Dadinho...?

Dadinho é o caralho! Meu nome agora é Zé Pequeno!

It better not be. That was far too weird to not get some sort of explanation on. I'm giving them a big break on dropping the ball completely on Walt, which seemed at first to be a key story of the series, but I demand my four toed statue explanation.

This. I want to see how the Blaque Rock (sp?) got there.

Also, let's not forget that Daniel Farraday also appeared working with the Dharma guys. There's a lot of loose ends in this series and if a real effort isn't made to answer most of the questions, I'm gonna be pretty pissed.

I know how you feel man, but I think you better start accepting the fact that they won't be able to tie all the lose ends in the few episodes they have left. Why do you think they only focus on the main characters now? There was a shit load of them, remember? They were either killed off or forgotten. They'll release books or something to explain the rest of the stuff.

Yeah but things like the statue and black rock wouldn't take more than a an episode to set to rest. I understand that Walt was just a poor choice of story early on and they obviously hadn't planned out the ending to that, so they dropped it. I can live without seeing him again. We do however need answers to anything that is still ongoing like Richard's aging, what Christian Shepherd is, who beat Ben up, a thousand others and finishing the story.

Also does anyone know what happened to Bernard and Rose? Were they killed in the ambush or were they just written off and forgotten about? They were there at the very beginning of the time jumps and then seemed to vanish.

You'll get the four toe statue explanation when we find out more about the temple and black smoke. I suspect they are from the same culture. The posessed french crew called the smoke monster a secuirty device to protect the temple, and I beleive Ben has referred to it as a security device too.

I'm sure Atlantis will figure in the explanation somehow too.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Ok, firstly Richards been on the lsland forever. A normal (pre S4) flashback of him could well explain anything in the islands history, irrelivent of whether time skipping is still occuring.

Secondly Walt is guest starring in the next ep. He is important, just as Desmond is important, they will be brought back to the island.

@Tyranical, French crew did not call smoke monster a security system. My theory, they were already dead and they became "zombies" like Christian Shepard and eventually John Locke. The island told Danielle it was a security system. Remember that Dave could physically interact with the characters. Danielle can shoot her crew dead (really dead) but that didn't mean they were actually "alive".

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

@Onyxmeth - About the "bad things started to happen on the island" thing, I know Locke probably doesn't give a rats ass about the redshirts but the remaining beach group bar the losties did get annihilated. Not to mention whatever happened to Rose and Bernard?
