Forums - Nintendo - Classic Controller. Love it or Hate it?

I always wanted one since I saw it before the Wii was even launched. I was bit disappointed when I found it was not wireless but after all the times Ive had to steal.........uhm.....buy new batteries Im glad its wired.

Its still wireless I mean you just need the Wiimote next to you. It was a pain to plug in the GCN contoller everytime I wanted to play my SNES/N64 VC games. It felt  weird but after playing with it for a while Ive gotten use to it and I love it.

EDIT - Shit I fixed alot of grammar errors >_>

I like everything, but the control stick layout. It's similar to the PS controllers, which are IMHO quite terrible. My thumbs constantly hit each other when playing a dual analog game.

I've been interested in Nyko's Wing wireless controller. Nyko's been good at making solid accessories for the Wii so far.

I have not played a game that requires both analog sticks constantly so I dunno if that will be a problem for me.

I bought a Nyko wireless sensor bar.....its needs FOUR AA batteries. It drains them fast as hell to. Worst $20 I ever spent.

Love it.

love it. I play every VC game and Brawl with it.

I don't even have one... I hardly use the GC controllers because I don't really play my VC games much.

The only thing I would want one for is F-Zero X, because the attack buttons are the shoulder buttons, which is awkward on the GC controllers because they are analogue and don't work until you click them down.

Then again, the left control stick is in the wrong place so I might not prefer it.

I am not a fan.

On the Gamecube, you thumb naturally rests on A, with B, X and Y all surrounding A in close proximity.

On the Classic Controller, your thumb naturally rests on B, which throws you off. The other buttons are also further away from this position, thus harder to reach in a hurry.

It suffers from having to be able to play games from too many systems. The d pad is put in prime position, making it good for NES and SNES games, however, it suffers from the same drawback of the PS2 when playing games that require both analogue sticks - it's kinda uncomfortable.

So I spose in the end, if you like the Gamecube controller, stick with that. If you like the PS2 controller, then use the classic

I think the GCN controller is the WORST controller of all major consoles ever released starting from the NES. It is just stupid.

Bad for N64 games, good for everything else on VC.

I don't like the +/- buttons, though. I wish they were larger and farther from Home. I fat finger the home button on the Classic controller way more than I do on the Wiimote, for some reason.
