These games would be best with a play on wii release and a sequel on the wii. I would probably consider buying a remake but only because I'm not sure how readily available the originals are.

I too was going to suggest they become Play On Wii titles.
ED may not benefit much from the Wii's controls but it's a game that deserves a second chance a sales.

Do you mean as in Nintendo's next console (which will be in HD as confirmed by Nintendo long ago)? Because even a sequel won't find a home on Sony or MS consoles because Nintendo owns the IP.

I understand that nintendo owns the rights to the first game and judging by the answer given below, they have a timed ownershit on the IP.
