Forums - Gaming - Forza 2 Outdone By GT5 Physics

I've spent a lot of time drifting in real life... a LOT of time... and money.

There is not one game available yet in regards to drifting that feels like the real thing or feels authentic or realistic.

People that say GT games are the real driving simulator have got to be kidding. That is NOT how real driving feels, it might be the best you can get using a controller. But do you drive a car with a controller? NO, so the way they set up the driving is not realistic. It doesn't feel anything like the real thing.

About the only thing you can learn about driving in real life from the GT games is the braking points on the real tracks and even then it's only semi accurate.

it's not people but real drivers, many say the play GT to practice, but they assure still it doens't feel like real car just yet.

"

F3 has 400 cars and 100 tracks based on a leaked survey.  I don't think GT5 has that many."

GT4 have over 700 is i recall correctly. GT5 will likely have even more.

It's a bit of a worry when people consider BluRay the future of gaming when DVDs can stream data faster. Size isn't everything you know.

Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

2 years on GT 5 barely out performs Forza 2 in terms of physics. Let's wait for Forza 3 due out hopefully in 2009 and we will have a much fairer comparison when the two games (GT 5 and Forza 2) are released around the same time - late 2009.

Neither stacks up against Mario Kart for drifting ;) I get blue sparks when I drive in real life

Wait for Forza 3!!!!

Gran Turismo 5 will destroy Forza 3!!

Taking into account the worst selling GT game is GT2 with 9.37, you know its a HUGE series. It is graphically superior, better gameplay, more cars/tracks, overall better. Plus there should finally be damage which is nice.

 GT4 had about 700.

oh.. and isnt it strange how in GT5 land no rubber is left on the track....

Omfg thank you. They had better add that before that had gt5. I want rubber all over the track once im done. thats the one thing that annoys the crap outta me.

Most fun thing to do in Gt5: P is get like a 350z not enough power to light up on the spot but right throttle soo soo so fun

Do threads like this lift the morale of sony fanboys ???

GT series apparently has no car damage in the games because manufacturers of the cars do not want to see their cars being smashed up and totaled even if it is in a make believe video game.
