Heavy Rain

Alan Wake, especially taking all these delays in the development process into account, is destined to be yet another 360 midcarder like Ninja Gaiden II or Too Human at best.

Alan Wake is being developed by 30 people. The reason it is taking so long is because Remedy wants to make sure they are satisfied with every component. Comparing it to Too Human is insulting.

It was supposed to be out in January of 2007.

No, it wasn't. Remedy is world famous for "When it's done." They have NEVER announced a release date themselves. Any release dates announced are either fake, rumors, or wild guesses. The official Alan Wake FAQ says the same thing now as it did 2 years ago, "When It's Done."

What a surprise you pick the PS3 game and use a really crappy excuse.

IGN listed its release date as January 12, 2007, for a long time.  Comparing it to Too Human isn't insulting as both Too Human (and Ninja Gaiden II to a lesser extent) is a prime example of what happens when someone says something is going to be the next big thing on xbox.  90% of such games since 2001 have turned out to be midcarders ie. games with aggregate review scores in the low to mid 80's .

Heavens to Murgatoids.

I'm suprised it's only being made by 30 people. For such a large project it sounds like a small team. No wonder it's taken them this long.

WTF, so IGN knows more about the release of Alan Wake than Remedy? IGN got it wrong. I can't believe you even brought that up. Like Jetrii said .. Remedy stated it will be done when its done. So NO it was never meant to be release Jan 12 2007 because IGN said so.

WE know nothing of Alan Wakes gameplay. I dont know if it appeals to a larger audience or not. I think Heavy Rain will sell a little better than expected but come short of Alan wakes sales. ( but not by a large amount). I think Alan wake will sell better in america than HR and Heavy rain will sell better than AW in Europe.

Still waiting on a New Road Rash and Legend of Dragoon 2...

IGN can list whatever it wants and you can quote it to your heart's content all you'd like, that doesn't change the fact that both you and IGN are wrong. Alan Wake has never had a release date.  I am done having this conversation with you.

There is already gameplay footage of Alan Wake. It is not too in-depth, but it gives you an idea.

I've still got to go with Heavy Rain. It reminds me of a David Lynch or Alfred Hitchcock movie. I think Alan Wake is going to have a hard time being a B rated game and will most likely imo turn out like the latest Alone in the Dark or no better than Too Human or Ninja Gaiden II.

Too Human had a 10 year development cycle and look at how it turned out.

I think Alan Wake will sell more. I have no logic whatsoever to back this statement up. It's just the one that I'm going to buy so I'm gonna trust other gamers will do the same :)
