sorry that i havnt been playing much over the last few weeks it because

i like been on holiday, then me friends mum died so i had t comfort him, then me other friends nan died now me mum is in hospital so i really havnt had time

Since 6vs6 tourney got canned i signed up another 8vs8 tourney at 20:00 GMT+1 this time confirmed. So in a hour and 30 min from now on we will have our first match today.

Hey guys. I'm coming on soon. I've bought a ps2/usb converter for my keybord :p Anyone knows how to make it work XD doesn't seem to do so automatically.. damn i hope it'll work >_>

A ps2/usb converter? So you don't have a normal usb keyboard? Because with usb it's just plug 'n play.

no it's just plug n play.. i assumed.. It had light on in the match which is why it's weird. Outside of that match though it hasn't... when i left it went dead.. and before it was dead.... But when you plug in it lights up for a sec.

It's already slipped lol. I don't care for the rank as much as the fun. However, acquiring points is my specialty so I can get back up pretty fast lol.

I remember that game me, you and Ninja were in a few days ago....you know at Tharsis with 20 minute Search and Destroy etc. Ninja was on a great score and disconnected

Anyway, at the end of the game I was on over 300 points, pretty chuffed with myself. I then looked at your score and it said '571.' I swear to God I nearly fainted.

 

yeah, I felt bad for ninja, he even had more points than me before s&d so that had to suck. Thats one issue with playing long games lol. I rarely disconnect so I love long games. When I do disconnect, it tends to be right at the beginning not in the middle of the game.

the key to acquiring tons of points lies in 3 game types: s&d (defend), c&h and bc (to a lesser extent). To maximize pointage in s&d and c&h, get kills while staying in the "hot zones" or stay outside the "hotzones" and  focus on getting rid of the enemies in the "hot zones". Many ppl keep getting sidetracked by meaningless battles outside these zones that only get you one miserable point/kill as opposed to 3 points. It's tough to stay alive in hot zones though.

S&d (defend) is the best all together because there's only one "hot zone" where everybody is as opposed to multiple like c&h. The problem with bc is that it's limited to 100 kills. With 16 ppl on the team, it's hard to get more than 25 of those. In a 30 min s&d, you can get unlimited points as long as your opponents never blow the place up. I once finished a game with 777 points even though I joined late all thanks to s&d lol.

 

Wow, 777 is like a weeks work for alot of people:)

And yea, Im one of those people who gets sidetracked in other battles outside the hot zones. If someones shooting my ass I make it my personal aim to hunt him down.

When I get really high scores its usually beacuse of the bodycount and headshots which gets me extra points. I like 8v8 games better because In the bodycount I get more kills than in bigger games.

I did notice your tactics in S&D Though. You were in that corner of the room defending the bomb. You killed me so much god forbid I even got an RPG out, which got me loads of kills

I usually take the time to hunt people shooting at me too but during s&d, I always spawn "on location" even though it's pretty much a deathzone so whenever someone's shooting at me, they're probably in there as well.

Yeah, there are certain places that are better to stay and shoot in order to maximize survival. In those cases though, it's well cooked grenades that are your worst enemy lol. lmg is also your best friend in s&d (in games that either ban assault or ban the explosive weapons). You can get so many kills before even reloading. When assault isn't banned, RPGs are your best friend. I usually have assault with the repair ability and just keep launching rockets. i rarely play games that don't ban assault/ rockets anymore though.

i prefer the 16v16 s&d games because you can rack up points very quickly. It's annoying when the enemy blows the place up before you even get there though.

 

 

Wow Pristine that is an awesome read. I pretty much understand all the points but love how you lay everything out organized like that. That along with your humble attitude really earns my respect man.

One more thing, haven't you been hate-mailed for using rockets? That was the reason I gave up on them even though I was very good. I really think that I am gonna make it a rule to use assault+RPG in rooms which allow for that, coz I am sick of being blown up by rockets.
