Im I wrong to assume that the PS3 games are Bluray and therefore not region coded?  Is the DLC different in this regard?  I'm just a little confused by all this...    (As Usual!)

Well I don't know all details, but somehow DLC is region locked.

I'm really excited over the new maps. If only my connection was a bit better.

And I didn't buy them myself. I got them as a gift (from some anonymous guy) since apparently you can activate the PSN-bought content multiple times.

Just because the games are not region locked does not mean region information isn't provided with the game. I was thinking about this earlier today and there are 2 resons I can think of that they would want to region lock DLC.

1) launguage consistency. American games typically only have english, but sometimes spanish and/or french. You wouldn't want someone to be able to buy Japanese DLC and then have japanese pop up in the middle of the game for the new content.

2) each region has a specific build of the game. This may not be true for all games, but a lot of games are like this at least on Nintendo and previous generation consoles. I don't know if the same still holds true for the PS3, but if it does the DLC may not work with a slightly different build, or it was never tested and they don't want to risk it not working.

I plan to share too but I'm having a hell of a hard time getting this fucking prepaid mastercard working which I just picked up!!!!

Plus the DLC doesn't even show up yet in my region...

I just have Debit Card, so, yeah. Maybe just gonna buy a card than.
