I'm a MAC and uh.......umm......errrr......damn, I can't think of anything clever.

Don't feel bad, loads of people have always missed playing every single great game ever created. Maybe you could get that MGS essential collection (I think it was only $30) and you could see if you like it. Then you could buy 4, or not get it, based on your experience of playing the first 3.
