As some of you know I changed my Hard drive on my PS3 (See This Link)

I got all my saves and such, all my game downloads are good to go.

Now I'm stuck on Folding Home.

How do I get my finished work and stats from my old hard drive to my new hard drive?

I entered my name like it is on my old hard drive.. but nothing pops up?

Are all my stats gone for good?

Your stats are gone for good unless you use the same username (default is PS3, thus giving credit to all PS3s that are left with the default settings) If you had assigned a username, you'll keep your stats, but your system's work unit stats reset to 0. Your total WU for both HDDs can be found in the in the individual stats.

I never had a password I just set the name..

 I had sega4life as my screen name, then changed it to TheForeverMan.

I thought I lost all my Units because when I changed the name it went back to zero..

but then a few days later I notice all my units plus some were back to normal..

Now.. are the units tied to the PS3's serial number, or to the Hard drive....

Also the Folding@Home site for user name stats has been down for a couple weeks...

I'm pretty sure it is tied to a HDD for some reason.

I have 2 PS3s and 446 WUs completed. From the launch of the program until about august I was really big on Folding. I would leave my PS3s on for days at a time folding only taking breaks to play. Most of Christmas of 07 where my only PS3 at the time stayed on for the full 2 weeks christmas holidays. In February of 08 , I got my second unit a 40 GB, which therefore consumes less power, so it became my primary folder. In July, I changed my HDD on the 40GB to a 160GB. Like I said, I only got turned off of massive amounts of folding in August, so presumably, my 40GB PS3 has folded many more than the 47WU it now gives this system credit for. I can therefore say with reasonable certainty that in my experience, if you keep the same username (there are no passwords), the actual folding process display will only show the units done on your HDD, but in the information menu, you'll get full credit for all WU done under your name.

So say I type the same name you have... you get the credit for it, and my page will update with your completed units as well?

I really wish Folding@Home would support user password accounts, it would make this easier and I can tie it to my PC.

Yes, you can give credit to whoever you choose, just by inputing their name. No passwords or anything. It's based on the premise that if you care about credits, the worst that can happen is someone misusing your name to ... give you more credits.

BOINC, a distributed computing program for Windows, Unix-like OSes (not sure about Apple) does allow password protection, but that is also because your password also allows you to set perametres under which all your computers will deal with WUs (such as how much CPU % or RAM % to devote.)
