PS3/360 gap is less than in France? I thought that Italy was the biggest Sony land (after Japan) in Europe.

Well according to Gfk the gap is 215k while Vgz 123k.

If these numbers are real, very good for 360. Only being outsold 1.5-1 in one of it's weakest Euro markets, and shortly after a new PS3 was launched and price was dropped.

It seems that if consoles are too high it originated from before 2009. I get these numbers for 2009 (obviously I could be a week off since it is unclear what weeks are included in Gfk's 2009)
