is the FEAR demo bad? I need to play that.

CGI: it's not a big deal, heh. I should have assumed sarcasm because you seem to be level headed. I'd also guess you to pick Heavy Rain for goty. The clues were there for me...

I didn't care for the demo when I downloaded it through Steam. It feels similar to the first one, but the environments will vary a bit now.

Horror isn't really my favorite genre though the demo didn't scare me that much. Mainly, I think I was expecting things to happen after experiencing the first one.

I dunno, I just played the demo for FEAR and it scared the crap out of me. It's much scarier than RE to me. Instead of relying on limiting controls to build tension, FEAR throws unique stuff at you all the time.

Edit:  Oh, and I'm getting way off topic here, heh.  Killzone 2, baby!

Argh! Hurry up, GameSpot, you slowpokes!

You know, IGN had a VC review a day before it released, GameSpot didn't have one until three weeks after its release.

They get review copies, they get more hits than any other gaming website, what the hell do they do for all this time?

Yeah, but they have almost no reviewers.  After Gerstmann-gate, most people left.

As for the GotY discussion, I don't think it will win many.  Most people ignore games that release early in the year for GotY, the exception being GTAIV, with it's legendary hype.

Look at God of War II.  It was completely ignored at the end of 2007.

i think if GG were to release substantial/amazing DLC for the game throughout the year and hype the DLC where ppl will still be talking about the game for months later..... look at Burnout P. it wasnt the only racing game released last year but it ended up getting all the racing awards by years end and it was released in feb.

Very true!  Burnout was the best racer last year, anyway, imo.

Which Member of The Vgchartz staff will be reviewing Killzone 2? It would be cool if Vgchartz reviews got Metacritic approved :D

"For the stunning single-player campaign alone this is a game worth getting very excited about. Killzone 2 is the loudest blockbuster on PS3 and the first must-have FPS of 2009 for PS3 fans."

IGN UK review looks like it's working now

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/950/950048p1.html

"For a developer whose previous games have been little more than average, Killzone 2 is a landmark achievement. Guerrilla has pushed the boundaries of what we’ve seen on PlayStation 3 by creating an all-action shooter that’s far closer to the original E3 teaser trailer than we could ever have imagined. It’s not perfect, sure, but it’s arguably the best FPS on PlayStation 3 and one that is, in this reviewer’s opinion at least, superior to Resistance 2. It also hints at what the developer is capable of achieving next time round and, bearing in mind what Epic achieved with Gears 2 over the original, we cannot wait to see what Guerrilla does with the next game in the series. For now, if you own a PS3, Killzone 2 is a must-have. And if you don’t own Sony’s machine, maybe it’s time to bite the bullet to make sure you don’t miss out on what is truly an outstanding game."
