No, we're all waiting for Maxim's final word and if they expand on their review.

More from that German GamePro review:

Roughly translated by gaf:

Grafik: Great textures, animation, level design, effects
Sound: 7.1, Great Surround sound, good dub, great use of music
Controlling: very easy and simple handling, great camera, 6 controller layouts, fair checkpoints
Gamedesign: Outstanding AI, Genius Sixaxis use, missing real climax moments
Story/Leveldesign: very vitalize world, superincumbent war atmosphere, varied levels
Content: MP, Documents to pick up, short SP, no replaying boni

Better then halo, not a lot of shooters entertained me so much
brute orchestration, brute sound, just amazing.
I love it if the game pressures me so much.
Eventhough there are some embarrassing cut scenes, Outstanding.

I agree that the dialog isn't it's best point. That's one of the things that I miss from the E3 2007 showing of the game. While they've made it easier to hear what the characters are saying on their descent and added subtitles, the voices of the characters sounded more natural and I'd say I prefer Rico's voice in that build than the one used now and ESPECIALLY the one used throughout 2008.

Right I'm all good and lathered up with hype now. So quickly, hand over the game ... it's coming out in HOW LONG?!?

/cry

Right, I'm gonna go sleep, wake me up when it's time : )

We'll have to see what happens this coming week with the pre-order demo coming out.

I usually see demos are for the indecisive, but I might have to make an acception for Killzone 2 Is it just the first level? or will it be like the BattleField bad company demo and give me some online gamplay?

Since the demo is only available for those who pre-order the game, I'd say that it's more for those who were already anticipating the game. I mean instead of putting $5 down to try out the demo, I'd think that the people who aren't sure would probably just wait until the demo is made public.
