Forums - Sony - ps3 owners, what would you consider losing this generation?

It is impossible for me to "lose" this gen. I don't make consoles

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

I guess I'm not explaining myself correctly. I see what you mean about this generation going on for a long time hence the reason I would consider the discontinuation of the ps3 an admitance of defeat.
And when I said confirm that the ps4 would not be created I mean wash their hands of the gaming industry for good.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

As far as sales are concerned, I'd consider it having lost to the Wii, but not the 360 as the sales difference between itself and the latter will be rather negligible when all is said and done.

Other than that, Sony has certainly been weakened in the console market, but it certainly isn't in a position where it can't recover and once again become the top player. Its third-party support has remained largely intact, and its actually managed to expand its in-house library. As long as it doesn't make the mistake of releasing a really over-engineered $600 console next gen, things will be fine.

Consoles owned: Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PSP, DS, PS3

Half the people in this thread seem to agree that the Gamecube never lost to the PS2. =P

If the ps3 stop entertaining me...aslong as I have games to play and blu-rays to watch I'm happy. That's why in my eyes the ps3 is winning over the wii simply because the ps3 offers me far more entertainment than my wii does. (Just because I said that the ps3 is winning over the wii in relation to the entertainment they offer me does not mean I think the wii offers no entertainment value).

Since the ps3 truly delivers as a perfect machine,
i guess nothing really, it will always be a winner

When I bought my Dreamcast and a week later, Sega put out a press release saying , "Sorry, Lewis. We quit. And we're dropping the price $100" That was a loss.

When Sony does that, I'll consider this generation a loss.......maybe.

when i start playing mkwii instead of warhawk

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

as a owner, I don't care if the console 'wins' or 'loses' I just play the fun stuff that comes out on it.

while the games keep comming to it i am happy =), less reliabity problems and don't have to pay for online.
