Forums - Sony - folklore?

The game is good. I highly recommend it. Vastly better than Resistance 2, if that means anything to you. One of the most under-rated, under-the-radar games this gen.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

Better than R2 is a joke, imo.

Folklore is super repetitive. The story had me interested but I got tired of doing the same thing every level, which is kill small guys with whatever attack works, just to kill a larger guy to get a new attack just to kill a larger guy with a new attack to be able to kill the boss. Then, I have to do it all over again as the other character. You have to repeate every level twice, and every level plays the same.

I did like the art style, though...and the Sixaxis use was well implemented.

For some reason I found my copy of Folklore at a nearby GameStop for only 29.99USD, it was a new copy too. I haven't beaten it yet cause I got flooded with many other games, but it is definitely worth the purchase, I plan to get back into it sometime soon.

It's cheaper at GameStop. Yes, I recommend it. The music is wonderful, the art is breath-taking and the story is pretty suspenseful and great. The game does get repetitive because you go through the same levels with the two characters. The use of the sixaxis is pretty well done.

i just wished there were trophies for the game in order to increase the replay value.

yeah, definately get it. But you might be able to get it cheaper elsewhere like gamestop. Fantastic art style and music, fun gameplay, decent story, good characters, it's really enjoyable.
