Not anymore. The game play videos that were on Kotaku last week out of CES made the game look extremely repetitive and boring. Maybe that was the result of the player just unleashing mayhem on everything that crossed his path, but two minutes of that same terrible lightning sound effect over-and-over and I'm already burned out on it.

I'm not sure the gameplay trailers do it justice, they're only like a quarter of the way into the game when you're still learning your basic powers and stuff. I do think it could struggle on the variety front, you can't use weapons for instance.

At the same time, I totally dig the comic book presentation and it's a cliche super hero story which if done right, could be awesome.

I'll get either this or Prototype, or both if they're both awesome. They look very much like they're treading on each others toes though...

I'm cautiously optimistic, I hope it is going to be good, but I am not sure from the gameplay videos, and also, I was never that much into sandbox games.

Maybe...we'll see.

I'm more interested in Prototype.

THis game looks like it is going to be very impressive, so far it is a day one purchase for me.
