In other news, what do you think the gap will be in sales this week for PS3/360 after America posts?  60-70k? More? Less?

Hate to piss on the parade but the Playstation sales that you call "strong" are actually all DOWN on the same week last year.

Sales this week last year for all formats

Wii sold 83k this week last year meaning sales are DOWN 40k (Down 50%)

360 sold 5k this week last year meaning sales are UP by 4k (up 80%)

PS3 sold 37k this week last year meaning sales are DOWN 8k (Down almost 25%)

PSP sold 91k this week last year meaning sales are DOWN 24k (down almost 20%)

DS sold 101k this week last year meaning sales are UP 6k (up 6.5%)


So these sales you talk of in comparison to this week last year and the year before that are pretty damn awful. I do find it slightly funny that the playstation brand is credited with strong sales but yet they all lower....

Would hate to see what a bad week is if that is a strong week

nice ps3 almost took on the wii if the ps3 can beat the wii there 10 times then my prediction will be true

So you think America numbers will show PS3 only 26k less than 360, when in others alone it was 44k less?  And what does, "and going down" mean?

"Economy" trigger any thoughts ? , sales of most expensive luxuries will be down year on year.

All numbers are down from last year in Japan, accept for the 360. As Hyruken already pointed out.

Hope things start to pick up next month with the release of some choice titles on all platforms.
