Sure, timed exclusives will be cheaper on 360 because it's guarenteed better sales and DLC, demos will reach greater number because of Lives greater adoption.

Ontopic. I dont think thats going to happen yes 360 has 8 million lead but i dont think its enough for 3rd party to go exclusive when they can sell 2-3 million on other console 2 also there is a couple of 3rd party games which has sold better on ps3 than 360.

i dont want to speak for this poster....but MSFT and this greenberg asshat i believe said something along the lines of Sony simply dropping the price or having to by april.....the beef isnt with wat MSFT business model says to do if Sony does but the fact MSFT is talking about that puts the idea in the publics mind....its cheap, bottom line.

Company A shouldnt discuss future decisions of company B let along when its common broad knowledge the information and opinion will damage sales. But alas, its MSFT.

I'm getting sick and tired of the way some companies do their business.
Buying exclusive content will lead to the company with the most money to dominate.
This is bad for consumers in the long run.
Prices will go up, innovation will go down and new companies trying to fill the void later will get crushed when they appear on the radar of the monopolist.
Look at how Microsoft bought control of the PC industry by getting Windows on each PC sold.
That kind of practice must end.
We have to balance the need a company has to dominate/build a monopoly and the consumers need to have a choice, keeping the prices down and have some innovation.

This goes for all the players in the console war.
Lately Microsoft is the worst offender.

btw: I own a PS3, 360 and a Wii (and a PSP and DS). I want the choice to buy my 3rd party games for whatever console I like.

Fallout, Mirror's Edge, tomb raider, NFS, COD and many agmes would've had MANY MANY sales gone if not for the Ps3 version

despite a 9 - 10 Million lead (in the west) 360 doesn't sell 3rd Party games that much better than the PS3....thats a FACT my friend.

I know, this is the case in most parts of the world.

Especially the Bush years in the US was bad.

At least we are TRYING to fix this in Europe, but we've got a LONG way to go yet.

Giving in and saying this is how it works will not benefit the consumer.

P.S. I'm still getting a PS3 this year, see Sony still has consumers :) and I know I'm not the only one.

That 8 million lead is in US/CN/UK which is THE key market for most western developed games. 8 million is also about the number of PS3s in those territories. Half the install base, more expensive development cycle, job cuts at publishers.....
