because its the 2nd new 360 ive bought. and also i need a new plug and charge its stopped charging. imo thats unacceptable |
Well get ready for a replacement PS3 controller because failing to hold a charge is an inevitability of batteries, and the PS3 controller battery is not replaceable like the 360's is. Also, why did you purchase a new one? Did you not get one repaired, or did you not sell your old one to make up some of the cost? Also, just grab a set of rechargable AA batteries. Those will be cheaper and better for your 360 controller.

Scanned from official Sony Safety and Support Manual for PS3. Consider yourself pwned.

I do not consider myself pwned. I merely meant you can go out and buy a new 360 battery or AA batteries at Wal-Mart, but if your PS3 battery fails, you have to get it replaced by Sony or go searching for discrete websites that will claim to sell you PS3 controller batteries. I never said you couldn't take the battery out....
Consider yourself looking like and idiot for completely misunderstanding and complicating the issue.

Misunderstood. I think not. You said the PS3 controller battery is not replaceable like the 360's is. You also claimed that he had to get a relacement controller because the battery was eventually going to stop holding charge. I gave you evidence that both statements are false. I also showed you that a replacement battery for PS3 controller runs for half the price as a 360 controller.
If you didn't mean to say what you did, that's your issue. How does that make me an idiot?

Sony replaces the entire controller, free of charge when the battery fails. So unless you want him to risk voiding a warranty and waste his money to buy a replacement, I'd stop trying to prove my point wrong... idiot.
I also explained what I meant by saying the PS3's battery is not replaceable.... it is not easily replaceable for an average consumer. Obviously you can do anything you want with any electronics but that doesn't mean the average joe shmoe will want to do it.
You are purposely interpretting things just for sake of argument when that is not the case. I'm sorry, but you are just looking like an idiot by trying to argue this. Oh, and rechargable AA batteries are half the cost of a PS3 replacement battery, so I guess the 360 controller batteries and replacement are still cheaper/easier.
