How exactly did you lose so much money on the Xbox 360?

because its the 2nd new 360 ive bought. and also i need a new plug and charge its stopped charging. imo thats unacceptable

Well get ready for a replacement PS3 controller because failing to hold a charge is an inevitability of batteries, and the PS3 controller battery is not replaceable like the 360's is.  Also, why did you purchase a new one?  Did you not get one repaired, or did you not sell your old one to make up some of the cost?  Also, just grab a set of rechargable AA batteries.  Those will be cheaper and better for your 360 controller.

i purchased a new one because old one went bust outside warranty, i was in the middle of lost oddesey when it happend so i got one for 169pounds............the bust model some1 bidded to 30pounds on ebay so i recovered a little.............i dont think il bother with rechargeble batts, il just use the plug and charge with pad like a wired pad for now..............cheers anyway

@krs..................i had bought both marblle blast and double dragon on my last 360, obviously this is the same hardrive as i only needed to buy an arcade console, and they deffo worked before the nxe update. many users r having probs with nxe regarding thier past purchased games.

If you purchased the games on a previous console, you will need to transfer your licenses to the new console, as they are keyed to the serial number.  Instructions here:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/licensemigration/

Any new games you purchase on this console will be fine, as they will be keyed to that serial number.

This is your problem.  Has nothing to do with NXE or the like.  Simple fix that takes 5 minutes.  As much as your float around here I figured you would have been aware of this.  It's been a known issue since 360 launch... While the license is still on your original console you have to be signed into XBL to access the full version.  Transfering them over to the new console will allow you access both on & offline.

If you send your 360 to Microsoft for repair they are supposed to do this process for you.

You do like to bring up the repeat console purchase every now and again skee.... fact is you didnt need to do that mate.. so why did you?

Oh and the problem you seem to have is very similar to the problem that people had with the PS3 post 2.4 (or whichever was the big upgrade). Im sure if you emailed someone at MS they could solve it for you.

nightsurge asked how i lost money on 360, so i had to tell him why....................il hav another go at redownloading the titles if no luck il ring them instead

Yup, after you have hit the download now option and it has downloaded just press B to go back two times and you'll be at the main menu and presto, it will work.

i just played streets of rage, went back out to the marketplace and rebooted streets of rage, it once again asked me to unlock the full game, i did the above method again and bravo.

Its in your download history so it will never suddenly vanish.

I know about the whole re-registering your old xbla games again but it seems a real pain in the ass especially considering it only takes 4 seconds to re-download it and Just press B two times.

Just hitting redownload will do nothing. You HAVE to do the license transfer process that GooseGaws posted. It's a simple DRM that keeps people from downloading copies of games on other peoples hard drives to access for free.  Since all accounts on a machine can access the games a single account downloads you could see how easy it would be for a gamertag to download a bunch of games for their friends to play...

If you send in your console for repair Microsoft now does this process for you so it's seemless to the end user.

If you sell your console on ebay or just buy another (ie like Skeeuk) Microsoft has no way of knowing your did this so the have they manual process for these individuals...

I was in the exact same boat. I bought a new Falcon to replace my first gen system (wanted HDMI) I did the manual transfer process. My 360 pooped out this summer and viola I got my new one back all ready to go.
