Forums - Gaming - My story why I chose XBox 360 over PS3

The PS3 has at least 30/40 games that u can buy that are really good.
How much money are you gonna spend on games since you put so much importance on the slightly larger 360 library?

That raises the question, why you put so much importance on cheaper 360, since u gonna spend a fortune on games?

I've bought a ps3, then a wii and in the future i'll buy a xbox 360.
I bought a ps3 first because it would have tittles such as ffxiii (yeah ...), god of war, ... exclusive. I can wait to play the xbox exclusives.

If money isn't a problem, exclusives rule.

I choose 360 because SO4 and Final Fantasy XIII

Well, I have both but I like and use the PS3 a lot more. It may have less games overall but it somehow has more that interest me.

$400 is not expensive.

When I got my PS3 I got:

- 60 gb PS3 (with BC :)
- Madden 07
- Extra Controller

And it costed me $900. So fuck you. The system without controller/game and before tax would have been like $700

I chose 360 / Wii migrating from a GC / PS2 combo

For me it was a no brainer Sony just seemed to shoot themselves straight through the foot with the PS3.

I dont watch movies so having the Blu Ray disk was just an unecessary expense. Coupling that with being late to market and not having many good games for the first 18 months.

I just hope Sony move quickly on to the PS4 and consign the Ps3 to the failed experiments bin.

I tried to survive the most I could with my PS2... could barely resist the call of the 360...then the 600 € ps3 price convinced me .... to get a 360 (400 € for a pro pack with Graw 2 at that time, oh yeaaa ! ).

I don't agree with the "if the money isn't a problem, excusivities rules" cause that is only true for a short period of time.

50 % of my playing time is spended on multiplateform gaming; and 360 is the queen for that (cheaper console and games, better online support, slighty better graphics).

I'm still looking for a decent Blue ray player and I always have to fall back on the PS3.... but I feel trapped by this situation and will resist, even if playing MGS4 and LBP would be cool.

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

Is it me or your question that doesn't make sense ?

I bought the PS3 mainly because I owned the PS1 and PS2 and just liked the exclusives better...plus Microsoft is known for releasing things too fast and having it fall in their face

I chose xbox360 because it was cheaper
