I popped into Sony home tonight.  There is the usual pushing of LBP all over the place, but I don't see Killzone 2 anywhere.  What I do see is Uncharted 2.  There is the Uncharted 2 trailer in the theater, and a BIG Uncharted 2 sign outside in the main plaze.

Have I missed anything Killzone 2 in Home, or is Uncharted 2 being promoted over Killzone 2?  Isn't Uncharted 2 set for Fall 2009?  What is going on?  Uncharted even has its own place you can teleport to (Sully's Bar). 

I did see Killzone 2 signs up at a local Gamestop, so that is a start.

There's a bloody new Killzone 2 thread on almost every forum every 5 minutes. I think it's quite good publicity for that game.

I think they will try to hit it hard a week or two before launch. They need to make sure that they do not make the big push to soon. Right now the Uncharted deal is just a teaser to get it in peoples heads. When they though Killzone 2 up it will be to push people into buying.

Any idea what is with the pushing of Uncharted 2 at this point and time?  Before that, it was Resident Evil (via the Resident Evil movie).  Nothing Killzone on Home at all. 

Killzone 2 is VG Chartz's mascot game.  Nintendo has Mario, VG Chartz has Helghasts

with the launch of home the uncharted zone was already there. im not certain but i think its up to the company itself to make content for home, so naughty dog made content for home and is therefore able to put up ads for uncharted 2.

although it would make lots of sense for sony to throw in killzone 2 ads in home, maybe even launch a new trailer for the theater. but then again we might see a very heavy ad-campaign coming in feburary and so uncharted 2 ads are just there for now.

People that visit gaming forums are the minority.

They're gonna have to do some real advertising if they want the game to be noticed by the majority.

I think Sony is letting the people take care of the promotion part Killzone2 to save money...

I mean just look at the endless Killzone 2 threads... it's like a Halo 4 game.

I think Killzone 2 has more exposure in general just because of its name. I dont think they need as much advertising for it to sell well unlike Uncharted which needs everything it can get. If you promote Uncharted 2...then it creates interest in the first one which increases the base for #2 to succeed as well.

Does anyone think Uncharted: Drake's Fortune can break 1.5 units by #2's release?
