Forums - Gaming - My thoughts after playing LOTR:Conquest

1. Story Mode: I just finshed the good side of the story mode. The story mode really did not appeal to me  It was mostly capture an area and hold it for a amount of time then move on. It was fun at some times but got boring. It really wasn't that hard ethier as I only dies once or twice. (6/10)

2. Presentation: Really not that great  the characters could of been done better But in a good note some look just like they did in the movie. (7/10)

3.Gameplay: It is a basic button smash game. Nothing really new here but doing some combos feels good if you can hit the guy. (7.5/10)

4. Online: This is where I had the most fun playing this game. There are a couple of game modes. Conquest, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Ring, Hero deathmatch. My favorite was Conquest. Had no lag at all while playing but it did freeze once. (8.5/10)

Overall LOTR: Conquest is a decent button masher game. Story mode is short and somtimes boring. While the game could of looked better the online makes up for alot. I suggest Rent it.

Score: 7.2/10

Other Reviews: IGN:7/10, Gameplayer 6.5/10

Hmm, I may have to cancel my pre-order.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

To be honest, I read the IGN review and they said that if you liked Battlefront, and you weren't expecting much else from this than Battlefront in LotR, then you'd be happy. And I can live with that. Therefore, I'll get this game asap.

Also, it seems like you had the most fun with the online part, which is the reason why I want this game, and the reason I got the Battlefront games. So, I'll probably be very happy with it. ^_^

Online is awesome and the game itself is cool.

Sadly this may be the best non mmo lotr ever. Oh well, stuff happens. Your 7.2 is about right for me. I'm a fan and I loved the artwork, classes and the music of course. Some decent scraps connected by Hugo and film footage. Too short and not what I expected but there is fun to be had.

Rivendell was pretty cool. Headshot that prettyboy Legolas and burned the library. Got gs for 300 hobbits but hey, they had it coming. Gotta get some skills and get back online.

Below 6 on metacritc right now thanks to snobs and haters at the xbox mags.

I played the demo, but the presentation and repetitive shallow gameplay were terrible enough for me to stay away from this game, period.

I'm waiting til this one drops in price. It looks like Dyanasty Warriors meets Lord of the Rings.
