Forums - General - Qualifications needed for Sales Job?

Find a reccesion proof business, open up a sweet shop, confectionary is doing very well at the moment, unlike communications and... well... sales iin general

I got it. Don't work at a kiosk. The comission is so low on those sales jobs its shitty and working for a tmobile or something isn't that applicable unless you are an awesome salesman and want to work in future sales (because its basically retail). Anyway, When I was 20 I searched the papers and found a job working for a doctor who did cognitive science and it was an office style job. Fillign out reports, files, working with kids one on one. Working with a Doctor with degrees from Harvard and Stanford. Anyways it paid 17.75 an hour and that isn't too bad for a 20 year old. Now I'm unemployed though because i changed jobs and then got laid off. I wish I hadn't left that job for something better :(

Superchunk is right, when going for a sales job, treat them like a potential customer. Keep trying, showing up until they give you an answer.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

You don't want a sales job that pays a commission during a recession.

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.
