Forums - Nintendo - Improvements for a de Blob sequel

Hi everyone:

Here are a few of my thoughts on what could be improved upon if a de Blob sequel hits the wii.

1. In game save option - when your trying to complete everything in a level it can take a while and being able to save and comeback would be nice.

2. Be able to map the jump action to a button - i rarely miss jumps in the game, but it does happen since you have to "slam" the wii mote down to jump - they could have the jump the same and give players the option to use a button for the jump command

3. make the challenges more difficult - most of the challenges in the game are pretty easy, as you progress to more challenges they should get alot more difficult

4. online play - the game's coop is fun especially if you can get 4 people, but the game would great online if you could get say 8 or 12 people with some good (and big) level design

5. make the single player campaign longer (more missions) - 15 hours would be nice

So what do you guys think? Would you like the same? Any other wants for the sequel?

How about an announcement for a sequel. Oh and that Blue Tongue make it right here in Australia like the original

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Great ideas. I especially agree with 4, and 5. I'd really like a de blob sequel though, and I think the odds are likely.

It'd be nice to see more stuff done with the motion controls, especially motion plus. Oh and some wii speak integration for the online,

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

Well its my....8th favorite game of all time...

Former something....

Good suggestions, though I think a 10-hour campaign is fine if they can put together a solid and diverse online mode.

Yeah it would be interesting if they could do more with motion controls, but i wouldn't want them to force it (like the jump action in the first one)

Wii speak integration would be a must if they had online - completely forgot about that in my original post

I would really like to see some kind of spray paint gameplay mechanic using IR.

1 and 2 would be enough for me.

#1 because it usually takes me over an hour to finish a level completely (all buildings painted, all challenges, everyone saved, etc).

#2 because waggle jumping can be a pain.

I recommended paint gun and custom change too ,it could be superb if they add it. XD
