Forums - Nintendo - Defending the games from E3??

Alright so just a quick question...How come just about everyone from Nintendo's e3 had this reaction...

....and now im hearing wii sports resort is a day one buy, and just a bunch of defense on many of these titles.

(i stole the image from someones sig a long time ago thought it was funny)

i think alot of people were disappointed with E3 because they expected the games that Nintendo announced/showed at their October show. Now that we have the games that we thought were going to be at E3 people are starting to give the E3 games a fair chance in my opinion.

I started making videos for youtube; check them out.

Sin & Punishment 2, Punchout are the two big ones that were announced. Other titles are Endless Ocean 2, Dynamic Slash, and Cosmic Walker.

Edit: Also there were third party titles like Monster Hunter 3, Arc Rise Fantasia, Tact of Magic, Valhalla Knights, and some others that were shown.

I thought we were waiting for a new zelda, or something of the likes. Sin and punishment is ok, but punchout was meh...

True, but I wasn't expecting a Zelda until the end of this year anyway. With Nintendo's new policy on not showing games until a few months before release I don't expect Zelda to be shown until this summer at the earliest.

yeah hopefully some good games come out. I just find it strange that games everyone was like O.o wtf....are now games that are defended like a boss surrounded by cronies with switchblades and tire irons. Monster Hunter for wii is the day things hopefully turn around. At least for my tastes.

because as usual we are a bunch of hypocrites

But more importantly the worst game, the nightmare of jimmy drums, is finally over. Its past us.

I always though WSR was an outstanding game but maybe it just took some time to forget about all the other crap and dissapointment over Kid Icarus.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

because we found Wii Music is actually good, and Nintendo still knows what their doing?

Which is now apparently returning to haunt us. Kid Icarus rumoured to be launched at E3? This explains why there wasn't anything for core fans.
