Only 5 games? I'd rather death :P
Brawl
Kart
Starcraft
I would save this for an awesome FPS with motion control
Battle for Wesnoth, it's open source, and recieves updates/user generated content constantly

Only 3?! You're crazy.
Good choices, especially Quake Wars and AoE (why did I go with TF2?) but do you really think DAoC has enough content? Other MMORPG's have more. And do you *really* need a single player RPG and a mmorpg? Why not a fighting game, or a music game?
|
DAOC is huge! It's been out for ages and has like 5 expansions. I believe it's bigger than WoW, but that doesn't really matter because I would pick DAOC for it's amazing PvP/realm vs realm, it having three factions and the overall atmosphere. The graphics are outdated though lol.
Oblivion is my favorite game all categories.
Fighting and music ain't my cup of tea, but yeah I would miss having something from the action, adventure, horror, casual genres. I blame your totalitarian government!
WOW
Any recent beatmania arcade machine
Super Mario All-Stars
Tetris
Pokemon
I'm not a hardcore gamer. I'm not a casual gamer. I'm a gamer.

Good job selecting great games from a variety of genres. But a co-op fps? Ooookaay, but I think you'd get bored after 1 year. Nice to see someone choose a music game, and be honest - did you waiver between GTA: SA and GTA IV?

Choosing a future game? Coward!

Do you really need two RPGs? And what happens after you catch-em-all?

A little RPG heavy there, aren't you chap? No other genres interest you?
And are you seriously going to replay Zelda: OoT more than 10 times? Honestly now. It's such a canned response for "greatest game ever" that I doubt you spent more than 10 seconds thinking about it. |
Well RPGs generally have alot of replay value to me. Im not too big a fan of FPS games (although im looking forward to the Conduit). Action games or adventure games dont really last that long. I like unrealistic racers but not enough to play them forever. I probably should have included Brawl or Melee actually...
Ive replayed Oot at least 6 times. It's my fav game of all time and even when I just finished the game I want to play it over again. And no I didn't spend more than 10 seconds thinking about it.
"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."
1. Harvest Moon: Magical Melody
2. Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
3. Halo 3 (for online co-op with my little brother and the dedicated following that means this game's online play will be basically unaffected)
4. The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (punk-asses)
5. Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber
I only need one game:
Left 4 Dead
It covers me in both of the two resulting scenarios.
Scenario A) People bitterly accept the new system and Left 4 Dead provides me with a lifetime of gaming awesomeness.
Scenario B) People revolt and society collapses leading to a Hollywood style post-apocalyptic world where my Left 4 Dead skills prove to be the difference between life and death.
Plus then when someone dies I can shout "LAWL RAGEQUITTER!!! LAWL" and it will bring back blissfull memories of my, then former, now current, life.
World of Warcraft
Diablo 2
Counter Strike
Pokemon
Diablo 3 (even though its yet to be released, i would save this spot for it).
Another one of these only play a certain number of games for the rest of your lives thread, but with one of Fry Bread's crazy future scenarios.
All right let's see.
For an online game I'd want Team Fortress 2. Nine classes to choose from give me some much-needed variety in a competitive multiplayer game.
For local multiplayer I'd take Rock Band 2. Always fun in bursts, and downloadable content should help extend the game for quite some time.
For my own personal creative yearnings I'd want Wii Music. Criticize me if you want, but as someone whose never learned to play an actual instrument I have fun tinkering with songs, and retinkering until I hear something I like.
Need a violent sandbox game for my more primal tendencies. Even though Vice City and the Wii version of the Godfather are better games in my opinion, I'd rather have Saint's Row 2 for better customization options and perverse diversions, which can keep me entertained longer. I'd also guess the PC version probably has a modding scene as well.
Lastly I'd want a game to just explore and enjoy for when I'm more adventurous. I was trying to think of a good RPG for this, but honestly I'd think I'd rather just have Endless Ocean. With about eight billion fish and treasures to find, I could probably play it from now till forever and still be looking for the last species to fill up my encyclopedia.
I would just need one game. The "Incite a civil revolution to overthrow totalitarian regimes" game. It is, inevitably, always a win if you keep playign long enough.
