The script has been entirely rewritten and the FMVs have been touched up for the new release. The extras aren't much to speak of, but they're just extras.

I would say it is worth it as the copy you own is essentially worthless when it comes to actually being played with. Yes, you could just pirate the SNES version, but if you want to own a legitimate copy of it, Chrono Trigger DS is the way to go.

The pace of the games is much faster and more enjoyable with the lack of load times, natch.

I love FF and will buy almost all FF game

I'm on a PS1 revamp myself, not really 1 company related. But then in my view, SquEnix have not been as good as SquareSoft.

I am currently eBaying for Vagrant Story, FFTactics, tobal No 1 (which I remember playing and liking) and some others but then to my horror and digust, Square Soft never released the following games in to the PAL region. Saga Frontier (they did with it's sequal), Xenogears, Parasite Eve (sequal was released)...and Final Fantasy Tactics...tactics on the PS1 was never released on Playstation in Europe. I don't want any crap remake on GBA or PSP.

I'm also looking for Omega Boost and Kurushi. (Keep in mind my ebaying does find results for many just either not in my region or at £40 or more,, I'm not paying that much.)

 

PS3 and Sony really needs to get it's act together and release some of these on PSN, I will buy them in an instant. I don't want another defense or silly shooting game, I want F*ing classics.

Hmm I started my quest to collect all Shin Megami Tenseis and FFs released in PAL before playing any of them :D

I don't think it was a wasted investment - the series is very good, almost uniformly. There isn't really a bad game amongst them, though X comes close.

 

Oddly enough X is my 2nd fav in the series with VII ranking in the top(Although I havent played anything Before VII)

 

You need to play FFVI.

Yes, thought for gameplay the the visuals it's one of the best, but the story and art-design is one of the worst for the series. Thought I still think X was very well crafted.
