Forums - Nintendo - Those Nintendo Conference games...

...out of all of them, which ones do you think that will manage to make it to the West?

I'm clueless to say the truth. All of them could be making it here, although highly unlikely, or none of them, although highly unlikely.

Your thoughts? Nintendo has been so unpredictable and secret this gen that I just can have a rational prediction.

I'm dying to play most of them!

PS: Bring DK back.

I know 2 that wont make it here, the English learning game and the NHK trivia game, those are Japan only 100% sure, the rest I really dont know.

Are we just assuming everyone remembers every game Nintendo revealed from a conference 2-3 months ago?

All that instantly comes to mind is Sin & Punishment 2 and Punch-Out, and both of those are almost guaranteed to be released outside Japan.

What games are we talking about here?

Currently Playing: Skies of Arcadia Legends (GC), Dragon Quest IV (DS)

Last Game beaten: The Rub Rabbits(DS)

Endless Ocean 2 has a very good chance, because the 1st part sold great and made it here too.

Trace Memory 2 hmmm, how did the 1st one perform? Depends on how good sales were here.

Cosmic Walker sounds similar to Endless Ocean, so it could be making it here.

S&P2, Wii Sports Resort and PO will obviously make it here as they were already announced.

Dynamic Slash, Takt of Magic and Line Attack Heroes sound doubtful, they are Japanese oriented games. I say doubtful because games like Captain Rainbow, FF4 and others didnt leave Japan. They have a chance, but I dont know.

There were some other games that I dont remember right now.

What would stop them from being released in the west exactly? Yeah a few of them aren't going to be translated (hai2u Captain Rainbow) but eventually most games will make it over. Why else show them off in the west?

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

Maybe popularity or simply not appealing to some parts of the world. But I hope most make it here.

Fatal frame 4 is confirmed isnt it?

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Fatal Frame 4 I think XSeed said that someone was going to bring it here, but that it wasnt going to be them. But its not official.

All of them. There's no reason for any of them not to come.

I would have said the same thing about Fatal Frame 4 and Disaster.

I know there are rumours about Fatal Frame, but the point is that big video game execs don't think the same way that their customers think, so it's best not to assume that they'll behave the way we'd like them to.
