If i call nintendo what should i say?

There's nothing broken with my Wii....
its just really loud and doesn't read discs 1% of the time...

will they replace the disc drive even if its not totally broken?

Call them up, tell them that you put in brawl and it refuses to read the disc. They'll step through your options with you, and eventually either offer you to send it in for free, or tell you that you need to pay $80 to get it fixed. You can then do whatever you want.

Calling Nintendo tech support and seeing what they have to say on the matter might be a good idea, too. It's not like you're obligated to send it in and pay money if you ask a few questions.

happened when my friend dropped it. Its the optical lens.

Depends on the game, in Call of Duty and Brawl, you can hear the laser trying to read everything as fast as it can, but in other games my Wii is quiet. I don't think it's any reason for concern.
