Forums - Gaming - Does anyone with 1080p tv have issues with Wiis graphics?

Well of course CoD:WaW is going to be less graphics/animation compared to 360/PS3 versions. That doesn't bother me too much at all. I care more about latency, frames per sec, and controls for a 1st person shooter plus I only own a Wii.

I have a 55" 1080p TV and I have absolutely no issue with the Wii's graphics.
Perhaps going back to games like Fire Emblem, I will be surprised for several seconds that the characters have no face for example, but as soon as I'm in the game, this effect disappears completely.
Same thing on handheld. Same thing on HD consles actually.
I have seen no game that looks better than any SD movie I saw on DVD.
Actually, the best graphics I've ever seen on consoles are the Wii menu, they're appealing.

Then again, if I was stupid enough to buy twice the same game on the Wii and an HD console, I would surely play the Wii version first, so that when I beat it, I can see if HD and the game itself are enough to make me play it again.

lol. May I ask why you would do this? Most people know that when the game comes out on Wii and HD consoles, 99% of the time Wii gets a quick port and is inferior.

I picked up sonic unleashed twice because everyone kept telling me that its superior on the wii because of controls. Now that I played them, I can honesly say that these 2 games are so drastically different and had I played the Wii version first, I definetly would not have bothered with the Xbox 360 one.

I have a 30" 720p/1080i set and when not using component the graphics look very jaggy but nothing unbearable and when I use component it looks much better. It also seems to look fine when I hook it up to the 42" in the living room.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

::shrug:: I have a Wii, a 360, and a 52" 1080p Sony Bravia HDTV. I do noticed the difference in graphics, but it's not like that's new or anything. We all know Wii is not HD. But the Wii on my TV looks awesome. Graphics don't hinder me at all from having just as much fun with my Wii games.
