You people know that this demo will be released only in Japan? Right?

Why such talk about a demo you'll never touch?
Import? Oh now you understand Japanese?

Wait for the English final game on Xbox360 or PS3 and everything will be fine.

Some people live in Japan and some people understand Japanese.  Pretty strange, huh?

Seriously !

Well, being that the PS3 is region free, we have no reason to not import something that won't get here in a while.

Well some of us do understand japanese. Even if you don't, you can easily get a sense of the demo just by playing it, so using that as a reason as not to get it, seems a little off.

Also the PS3, like said above, is region free, so there are no limitations in importing games from other countries

I wonder if the FF:AC Blu-Ray disk itself is region locked for this one...might only be able to install the demo from inside the disk menu screen

I hope not

PS3 isn't region free. It has regions normaly BUT all games released are made as region free unfortunatly most movies are region blocked.

So I;m afraid if someone imports it he will have not working movie with working demo unless he has japanise console or BR player.

Well that's actually not true, since i've imported quite a few movies from the U.S over here to europe and they all played without problems or the need for a U.S PS3. So i'm guessing the same could be for Japanese movies.

Yeah. Region locking is pretty much optional on Blu-Rays.

I think it's up to the studios to lock it or not, but it's certainly not as common as DVD region locking was/is

Hopefully S-E won't go region blocking this release, it would really be a shame, since they could get a lot of sales with imports and japanese sales.
DVD region locking was one of the main reasons it was pirated so much from the beginning, it spawned a massive surge of modded consoles and pirate DVD region free programs for PC, so i think it was a smart move to allow a more region free medium such as BD

Why not name it FF13 Prologue and put it in PSN?

Well, as long as it has ~10+ hours of gameplay, I'd be cool with that.
