Wow...thats Depressing, i was looking forward to timespliters 4/HD. wow...just wow... not cool. >:[

Given the sales of Haze and the likely cost of development, I doubt that anyone has any incentive to make a sequel.
Yeah Killzone wasn't great, but it was playable. Haze was a chore to play. That doesn't mean Haze 2 can't be good, but I don't think there will be one. Or if there was it would be multi-plat. 600,000 for a highly hyped exclusive? Not enough

Your sig is great, you may want to put God of War 2 and GT5 in there after you mark off KZ2.

There is no way that you've played Killzone.
Haze is a pain, yes, but Killzone is far more of a pain to play, especially by todays standards.
The games framerate constantly chugs, both the teammate and enemy AI is dumb, you get shot by people so far away that you can't see them, sometimes the game will glitch up and you wont be able to proceed to the next area. There is no jump button, the aiming is terrible (especially the sniper, which was dumb beyond belief), sometimes your character will get stuck on tiny rocks, or even stairways. The checkpoint system is completely random and makes no sense. Many of the levels use the cut and paste corridor technique Halo pioneered, but without the fun.
I could go on and on, but the point is I'm pretty sure everyone talking about Killzone being decent in this thread have never actually played it.
| Outcast said: Killzone wasn't a bad game. It was overhyped to the extreme and the PS2 wasn't strong enough to handle it. With more time it could have been a lot better, but it had the burden of being a Halo-killer since it was announced. |
sounds familiar...
does who do not learn from history or bound to repeat it.
no becasue everything about haze was mediocre,,,,Killzone 1 was bad with a very apealing art style/character design.
beside sony was the muscle behind killzone 2 where as killzone 1 was purely made by GG.(GG was not sony 1st party in KZ1 era)

I never even played KZ1 but I always loved it's art style very much. I normally wouldn't wear any gaming-related shirts, but if I could get a decent one of KZ I'd like that.
Actually our new neighbors in the back (barely met them) just came over for some PS3 action and they brought KZ1 and some other games (along with Haze....yes, I was surprised). I probably would've gave KZ1 a try if they stayed a little longer.
here's a favorable review of the game, he likes it flaws and all.
