Montana, thank you for understanding the point. You're dealing with irrational people here. Shit, someone even said they liked Independence Day.

I'll stand by my 8 year old niece's opinion in favor of my own. She loved Rock Band. She played Wii Music for half an hour and called it crap (not her words, that little girl has a mouth on her). After a brief time of Wii Music, she went back to Rock Band and continued to play it for three days until I left (I assume she kept playing it after I left).

Wii Music sucks. It's horrible. I played it for about six hours trying to see if there was a redeeming point in that game. There wasn't.

Myamoto, shark, jumping.

Rocketpig, opinion, repeating.

Cute. Maybe someday you'll get your own schtick and become wildly successful at it and then, you'll finally embrace your life. What we proletarians call that is LOVE.

Personally i think you don't believe your own perspective (deep down) as much as you claim. Your just fighting for the sake of it and forgetting that Miyamoto is trying to do something different. Its fine if you, like alot of gamers, don't see the value in his approach, but it is hypocritical for you to use one game as the litmus test for the shark analogy. WM is a game that has followed SMG after all, the best game of 2008. btw alot of nintendo fans who like WS and WF don't like WM either but its no reason to forget that only 6 months before this he produced what some claim to be his best game in 10 years.

Your welcome to call people who don't share your views irrational, but it is you who is more irrational for not embracing different perspectives on different games. As a moderator you should be able to know when to quit and in addition know when you are derailing a thread with your views on Miyamoto.

Oh and i bet you a million dollars more Independance day fans have shooters in their consoles rather than Wii Music. That says much more about the core market than you would dare admit.

You bore me. I already know you and I don't like you very much.

All you do is wish harm on others and put it behind the pretense that you're progressive.

Yawn.

I dont know you at all but im guessing that by telling us you like this particular 2 minute cut of classical music, independance day is a bad movie and you think Miyamoto has gone Spielberg, when most of us don't give a shit, indicates you have a confrontantional behaviour problem and are directly challenging strangers purely for self satisfaction.

And by the way, just because i have an opinion on your current President (personally life in prison would be my choice) it does not mean i am in favour of harming all people. Your generalisation is conveniently forwarding the fox news delusion that the left is more dangerous than the right. This is a weak argument considering 8 years of evidence proving the opposite.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

How in the Sam Hell did politics become part of this discussion exactly?

Way to blame your own statements on me.

Do you really want me to quote yourself to you? Grow up and acknowledge your own statements and stand by them. You wished harm on another person. That's all I will say.

Well RP was being insulting to me due to my beliefs regarding George Bush and his criminality on another thread. He couldn't defend my points on Miyamoto jumping the shark so he attacked me with a fox news left wing stereotype. I simply defended myself, and despite derailing the thread, it was RP that had already derailed the thread to begin with by attacking Miyamoto's new gaming strategys.

Hahah, so you really think I give a shit about your opinions on Myamoto versus your opinions on hurting another person you've never met?

You are EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THE HUMAN RACE. I think that sums it up.

I think the fact that Miyamoto has (unquestionably) left rocketpig behind is one thing, but that doesn't justify even beginning to bring politics into a gaming discussion. Keep that to its own threads.

What on earth happened to this thread? Perhaps people who want to talk politics or have a domestic should do so in OFF TOPIC or via PM.

On Topic: i'd say i have to agree with the OP (Vagabond i think it was). Having gamed for over 20 years i have found i don't always have the time to devote to a game that i had when i was a student so it's nice to see some of the genuine pick up and play offerings that are on the table now. I still like me a core game from time to time but alas time is becoming more elusive. Finally, regardless of what you think of Wii Music, it's a little premature to say the Miyamoto has started on his "uninterrupted downward trajectory", i'd say he's earned a little more slack than that.

I get attacked by everyone. At this point, it's actually quite funny. I sit here and author a post while listening to Chopin and get blasted for my little opinions.

I have no deep-seeded links to any manufacturer, I just call it like I see it. Unfortunately, I seem to piss off one fanboy faction or another while doing so.

Its rich that you still haven't answered the question i set you, but i guess thats the case with everyones ideas that i "interogate".
