Why is this necessary? Nobody with a brain thought Killzone 2 compared with Crysis, it's like the media are trying to discount how good K2 actually looks.

| Zim said: Yes screenshot 3 for KZ2 is in fact Far cry 2. Which doesn't say much for that site =/ Also I love how people say ''OH but crysis only looks like that on a small % of pcs''. Want to know a secret? Killzone 2 doesn't look like that on the VAST majority of PS3s. The majority of people do not have HDTVs, most PS3 and 360 games are being viewed in SD. People always seem to forget this. I will also say that screenshot 1 is not different by a shade. The difference in skin texture, lips etc is massive. Then the texture on crysis clothing compared to KZ2 is also massive. Compare the bandana and the helmet. Once again, KZ2 may be the best looking console game but it is still pretty damn far behind crysis. I still think that even at the very end of this generation games probably aren't going to be surpassing crysis. Wait till the PS4/720. |
even then they probably wont run crysis wit wll the bells and whistles considering all the scalability of it

So should we run Killzone 2 on a wii before making any judgements about whether or not it looks better than the conduit? Your reasoning makes no sense. Console fans will try to make any excuse, when it's really not necessary. As far as tech goes Crysis is miles ahead of anything that will be seen on a console for years. That's not something to be threatened by, it's always been that way. Killzone 2 will certainly be the better game over all, why isn't that enough to make console fans happy? Crysis is a glorified graphics engine demo, and it excels marvelously at that. It's gorgeous, get over it.

I think most people would have been able to figure out Crysis > KZ2 without the need for a comparison. It's nice to see it pictures though.
I think what most people don't realise is that without the visual effects of blood splattering on the screen, dust/dirt being blown onto the screen and staying there (similarly to how MGS4 did it, except overkill in this case) and a good use of colour, KZ2 is just another high end graphics game and hardly a contender for the best graphics this generation (which is why despite their technical hiccups, I consider Gears 2 and Uncharted to be better than this game graphically. They don't need those little touches to make the graphics seem better).
I like KZ2's attention to those details though, but it seems to have blinded some individuals. (both ingame and out).
It's not surprising considering that Killzone 2 runs on hardware that was already inferior to pc 2 years ago when it was released. Anyway, the graphics don't matter and Killzone 2 will outsell Crysis.
How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...
Are graphics really that important to you? That a question to all of us here.
Because, if i were you, i'd be worried if the game is good in the gameplay dep.
However, it seems that this will, thankfully, turn out to be at least a good game. A success after the first killzone in my humble opinion.
Right, so now that we know the truth about the gfx, i pose another question about the game: is the story any good? I would wish for it to be at least on the same level as Gears of War 2 was. Anyone got any info?
If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

I think all Killzone 2 press releases thus far have been animated gifs in slow motion.
Killzone 2 has a story? I guess the story is a very large group of people were given years and millions upon millions of dollars to make a game that will struggle to be profitable even if it's a success....and then some people got shot and it was gorgeous. THE END....I guess I should mark my spoilers.

Crysis on highest setting looks at Killzone 2 and just laughs
and yes this is a dead subject why make more posts? I think everyone who is honest with themselves and not a blatant fanboy realizes that Killzone 2 isn't even cloes to Crysis

Huh. Well tickle my pickle, i thought that Sony released at least something else about the game other than their best gfx and gameplay pics o.O.
I guess we'll just have to live and see it through.
