But clearly you forgot to factor in the new RROD replacement program. Every 3 years your system will RROD, you send it in and MS will upgrade all the inner components for the low low price of $250 This will ensure that no 360 on the market is ever over 3 years old since since no 360 will ever reach 11 years of age the system will be future-proof and last forever!

the new version of xbox 360 (jasper) reduce RROD rate and futur verion will certainly fix the problem

and 250$ to fix a 360... this is nonsense you can buy a new 360 for less than that already

if i had a 50 cent every time i heard Microsoft fixed RROD i could buy Microsoft company

so you're saying that microsoft want to keep RROD and pay 1Billion$ (like they did in 2007) to fix broken xbox each year.

if Microsoft want to support xbox 360 for more than they did with xbox, they will fix RROD problem.

they want to fix it of course, but its not that simple.

Says the expert in internal console hardware and heat dissipation.

OK genius why didn't they fixed already if it was that simple? why don't you fix it when its that easy?

Well my 360 got RRoD.  I sent it in, they gave it back to me and no RRoD.  Seems like they fixed it to me.. Also, did you ever hear of this little revision called the Jasper?  Basically 100% RRoD proof.  The Falcon (which is like a year old now) revision only had like a 5% failure rate if that, so with Jaspers being even better and giving off even less heat, I have a feeling the failure rate is now 3% or less which is the industry accepted standard.

Looks like they fixed it already, so it must not have been that complicated.  Thanks for calling me a genius!  I always accept praise!

that's a good luck. you're lucky to have your 360 fixed some people get their RROD fixed and 4 days later they get RROD again.

if people say sony cant do 10 i cant see the 360 doing 11

That is because 360 is a gaming plateform, not an enhanced Blue-Ray reader...

Anyway 11 years seems unrealistic to me, 8 is a big big maximum, with the next console already released within 2-4 years max from now..

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

I think they're pushing it with the one day thing

my signature went on strike, it's demanding 3% raise

Yeah but those are very rare circumstances.  That is mainly due to the replacements being refurb xenons.  Now that most replacements are Falcons, those don't happen.  Still, like I said, it looks like MS has fixed the RRoD and it looks like you have no arguments left on that front.

They've got to clear out all the older model 360's still, so for a while there will still be RRoDs, but they will continue to decrease each day since MS has the solution and are implementing it on a console by console basis.

The support complaints were about Xbox Live cancellation and have nothing to do with this.. you are just grasping at straws.

wasn't falcon 10-16%?

No that was the revision before Falcon or just entirely wrong figures all together.  They did a study and of recent RRoD's out of like 1300+ in the study only about 5% were Falcons, the rest were previous revisions with the Xenon being the highest.

Alright, now I know I read somewhere about Microsoft saying the XBox360 will sell one day longer than the PS3.

PS3 is on a 10-year plan right? If so, shouldn't the title read -

"The Xbox 360 10-year and 1-day plan!"?

Am I right or did I miss something?
