Dear Nintendo,
Can you please put down the fine belgium imported beers your using as a mouth wash as well the fine fresh silk as dental flosh staight from the worms arse because I have something important to tell you.
I went to the history books and your hands were already soaked in blood for developers forced to work on your crippling WEAK hardware. So this isn't the first time youv held back gamings potential YOU BASTARDS!
Lets look at what pitful hardware you had...
Super Nintendo, or should I SAY NES 1.5
Resolutions Progressive: 256x224, 512x224, 256x239, 512x239
Interlaced: 512x448, 512x478

Total Colors 32768 (15-bit)
Sprites 128, 32 max per line; up to 64x64 pixels
Backgrounds Up to 4 planes; each up to 1024x1024 pixels
Effects
* Pixelization (mosaic) per background
* Color addition and subtraction
* Clipping windows (per background, affecting color, math, or both)
* Scrolling per 8x8 tile
* Mode 7 matrix operations
Pa.the.tic. I could imagine developers cringing when reading those specs in comperison to the BEAST that was the NEO GEO when it came out.
* Display resolution: 320x224 (many games only used the centermost 304 pixels)
* Color Palette: 65,536
* Maximum Colors On-Screen: 4,096 <- OMG THATS MORE THAN MOST NEXT GEN GAMES!
* Maximum Sprites On-Screen: 380 <- HOLY FUCK!
* Minimum Sprite Size: 1x2
* Maximum Sprite Size: 16x512
* Maximum Sprites per scanline: 96
* Background Layers: 0
* Aspect ratio: 4:3
* A/V output: RF, composite video, RGB (with separate 21 pin SCART cable FCG-9).
Could you imagine if FINAL FANTASY 6 came out on this bad boy? But no, once again dirty cheap Nintendo screwed us and we got robbed of real 16-32 bit gaming. While casual filth like super mario world and cheap gimmicky add on's like the super scope took over REAL hardcore arcade action.
I hope your happy Nintendo. Knowing full well that developers proberly could of used all that potential to take gaming to the moon and back but were forced to work on your two nes's duct taped together. I'm not even going to look at the library knowing theres no physical possible way the NES 1.5 did have an enjoyable game considering developers weren't working on the best tech at the time like the Neo Geo.
I hope your happy Nintendo, because once again you gave us the texas chillibowl.
