I get bored of those threads about KZ2 being the best shooter and best looking game of the year. What will happen if the game turns out a mediocre good looking shooter???? Discuss people...
They hype the graphics because they look marginally better than Gears of War 2, the Xbox 360's flagship title, after double the development time and several times the budget.
They don't hype the gameplay.

By most accounts Killzone 2 is a decent, but very good looking shooter.
Fanboys do NOT hype this titles gameplay. The OP is right in saying 90% of KZ2 threads are graphics-related.
The only ppl I have seen hyping the gameplay on these forums are Squilliam and MM, neither of whom are fanboys.

hey, even if it sucks gameplay-wise, the graphics remain good so the hype isn't wrong now...is it?

They don't? Even a comment like, "OMG THIS GAME WILL BE SO MUCH FUN!!!" is hyping the gameplay. Unless you think they like to stare at a screen and not actually play.

Too high of a percentage. But best graphics on consoles so far, of course it will gain attention.

Because they have actually played it.
I hype it because I loved the first Killzone. Sure it looks beautiful, the gameplay is amoung the best in the genre, and it will be the best looking console game when it is launched, but at the end of the day, I just want to see what happens with the Helgast and the ISA.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. please stop,,,i love gears 2 and killzone might not be as good in game play(we still don't know)
but in graphics it stand far ahead of competition on conosles,,,,don't take my word for it ,,,wait for reviews when they mention it,,,,,i ll post a topic for every magazine that praises graphics and says it's above competition on consoles then ok?to prove you are wrong(like you were wrong last year with MGS4 graphics,,,saying it has above average graphics which ended up getting many award for best graphics in 08)

It's hyped, get over it. Get over yourselves. It will likely be a great game both in its graphics and gameplay. I've seen more bashing threads for Killzone 2 than I've actually seen hyping it. Sorry that you have to hear people be excited for a game you aren't going to play, now you know how every other person on this site feels.
