Forums - Microsoft - thanks microsoft for fing me over in fallout (bad languge used)

man and I thought losing my dog on fable was bad, there is no way I would play through that again just to get him back, sucks that you completly aced that game, I still had a bunch of stuff I wanted to do, but looks like my desire for the game is lost, If I lost everything like you I would just give up. Its like when I lost all my pokemon from 2 games! I gave up on pokemon for like 8 years! To many hours spent catching them all to do it all over again! lol

Any way my heart and anger at games that screw you over goes out to you man!

I lost 7300 gamerscore when I switched consoles...

I think you're lucky.

Did you not transfer your gamertag?

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

thanks gang it helps

You just lost a bunch of meaningless numbers, your life is over.

i take gamerscore seriously lurker u noob

agrees with sssbolimar. I dont really care so much about gamer scores because I'm not online with my console but I can relate to the time and effort put into something with a game only to have it all magicaly disapear. All that hard work down the drain! its terrible! And people need support and a good place to get angry about it! It keeps them gaming on!

Yes it might be a few numbers or a few pixels on the screen but the time and effort put into obtaining thoes numbers or getting thoes pixles is priceless! And thoes numbers have a huge meaning in how well you did in that game, its puts you above other gamers, makes you supreme! lol its like a power level in dragon ball z!!! we can look at these gamers and be like. wow his gamer score is 'such and such' and stare in awe! And fear versing them in what ever multiplayer games they've nailed. It sets the hard core on top of the soft core and loosing numbers is like loosing a bit of proof your hard core! Like loosing some rep on the street I guess.

That sucks. This might help you:

Maybe if you still got achievements to unlock on Fallout 3 (and the other games you lost) you can unlock the old ones. If you have a perfect game, then you are screwed. The problem is that MS will never admit it (fixing bugs causing more bugs). So if you are among the few ones that got screwed you might never get them back. I can almost feel your pain dude, I have lost 1000+ hours of data on games before. Now I am scared to connect and lose my GS. I think I will wait a little more before updating my Gamer card.

Are you sure that someone else isn't using your gamertag. Maybe a friend that has a 360 you recovered your gamertag on? I would change your Windows Live Password just in case.
