Forums - Gaming - I give up! Microsoft got second place in the war!

I know it is very late to say this. However, I finally came to reality that Sony just can't hit second place by the end of the console war. I mean as much as I don't want to believe it, its the truth. However, I still think the sales between them and Microsoft will be very close at the end. I am glad I got this off my chest.

I really don't think so...Sony's ps3 is going to last longer than the Box so in the long run the Ps3 is going to be in 2nd..

Well i'm glad it's settled then!

I really don't know what to expect this year from Sony. All I am hoping for is the best.

I knew the 10-year plan would pop-up quickly in this thread.

OT: Good for you.

It's better to be pleasantly surprised once (unlikely as you said) than to get disappointed every non-year of the PS3.

LOL! An epic statement.

Snake, you're always so frank, open-hearted, naive and sympathetic.  It's good to have you here on VG Chartz. :)

(and no, there's no reason to give up... the war is far from being over and will rage on for years to come)

I am just begging for a price drop.

Well, I don't think that they can hit 2nd place unless a major shift in the way the media and the masses look at the PS3. I used to think that it was going to hit 2nd place and cared about it's sales, now I'm indifferent about it. PS3 has great games (and there are much more to come) and that's all that matters to me.

The only reason the 10 year plan works for the PS2 is because of how insanely popular it is/was.

Think about whether the GameCube would have worked out having a 10 year plan.. It's the consumer that dictates the shelf life of a product, not the company trying to sell it!

OT: I think it'll be close either way but the good thing to come out of this will be the next generation consoles, with so much more competition now, the consoles will be amazingly well crafted and thought through. Can't wait!
