LOL Points @ selnor and laughs. |
Seriously my comment was objective. yours is not. I'm not worried about upsetting a few blinded fanboys. Heavy Rain, Alan Wake and Kingdom Under Fire 2 all to me look more impressive. On a technical note and what the console is having to do, I also think RFG is the winner in 2009.
The animations on KZ2 are killer. That video of Crysis was pretty neat as well.

How was your comment objective? My comment was very objective as I'm still laughing at you.

Using my ps3 now , my pc can't handle so much fail in a single post.
Killzone 2 looks fantastic, but it's still not a huge leap over the xbox 360.
Crysis is on another level.
| CGI-Quality said: @ Jaggedsac Exactly, Killzone 2 animates better than anything else I've seen thus far, but as we know, the PS3's specs allow for such complex animations which is also where I've been saying it differentiates itself from the 360 the most: physics/animations, thanks to the SPUs. |
Please don't get into a technical discussion unless you have actual technical knowledge. All the physics and AI in the game is running on the PPE, not the SPUs. The SPUs are being used to assist with the rendering. Guerilla had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to make the game look this good. A lot of the things in the game (explosions, destructible environment, etc) are all prebaked. If a guy gets launched against a wall and the wall breaks, it will break the exact same way every time. If you take the Killzone 2 engine and try to make a new game with it, it will take a very long time as the engine would have to be highly optimized for that game.
In Crysis, everything is dynamic. All the physics, explosions, lighting, etc are all calculated in real time, they don't resort to tricks like Guerilla does. I'm not saying the game looks bad, in fact, it is the best looking console game of this generation, but please don't compare it to Crysis or its engine. Completely different ballpark.
Good news Everyone!
I've invented a device which makes you read this in your head, in my voice!

Your childish reaction in itself belies your bias and inability to actually post with merit in response to his comments.
