Forums - Gaming - Your gaming skills fail you when someone is watching?

I'm usually comfortable playing a multiplayer game in front of people but single player games get me 'jitty.' 95% of the time, my play is much worse when someone's watching me playing a singleplayer game then when I'm not being watched.

Pixel Art can be fun.

@ smoked: especially when they are giving pointers, and usually wouldn't even know the right way to hold the controller >_>

Do you have the same problem peeing? >_>

Actually, yes i do lol, not that there is a "peeing performance" to get lower, but it won't get out if someone is watching

Flow -"The important is to pwn other ppl"

Im much better at competitve games when people watching but horrible in single player games with them watching.

im dominant in tekken 5, and madden with eyes on me

but horrible at uncharted and god of war with watchers

Your cousin is the devil?

Just guessing. :P

If he is, i'm teaching guitar to the devil lol, he doesn't have a fiddle though so maybe he isn't :)

Well, my experience with playing with other people was always against them, and then i played normally, winning or losing depending mostly on the game. Nowadays these crazy developers and they coops and splitscreens make me fail :(, i also played some matches on split screen, he always on my team, and i still failed :(

Also, when my parents come into the room they won't look at the screen so i won't fail

This social facilitation thing is interesting. I will suck at electric guitar if someone is watching (not that i play that well :P), but i do play guitar and sing pretty well if someone is watching. I also perform better on basketball if there is someone watching

*Thinks*

Oh!!

Love that Song

My gaming skills are usually unaffected but if I have the chance to do something that shows how good I can be I will. :P

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

Gotta agree with you flow you are very good at warhawk and an amazing sniper although you don't seem to snipe to much now.

With your skills I don't see why others watching would trouble you.

If my friends watch, then I fail more.
If they play against me, I play better from the testosterone. ;)
