low failure rates dont neccisarly transalte to sales but.. it does translate to better profits.. i wouldnt be surprised if they started to at least break even on the ps3 next year after they get rid of the U.S, and japan 60 gigs

PS2 failure rate wasnt as high as X360 failure rate and lasted from PS2 launch to 2003 a total of 3 years of misaligning lasers.
