My kids got a 360 for Christmas.   Since they can only have one online account they came up with an Avatar they both liked but doesn't look like either of them.

Since then my son has added several of his friends and surprisingly their Avatars don't look a thing like them either.   This surprises me since people's Mii's are generally pretty fair (if cartoony) represenatations of the owners.

So now I'm curious if most people tend to make self portrait Avatars or an 'alter-ego'  Avatar.

I always make self portrait representations in games.

My Mii is a more accurate resemblance of me than my avatar though.

I tried to make my avatar on Home look like me and failed miserably, but i never get into home anyway

My Avatar looks a spooky amount like my girlfriend. So does her Mii.
