Hey all, waddya lot think, do you think nintendo will release a new super mario world for the ds. Considering NSMB has sold 10.5 million so far with more to come i'd say they would.

So what are your thoughts on the game... what would you like to see included... I for one would love 2 see how yoshi would look in that NSMB graphical stylee... So your thoughts please...

 One thought of mine is that nintendo should try and make it a little more difficult then NSMB... and give it better mini games...

P.S Mention whether or not you played the orignal super mario world and if you have tell me if you think new super mario world would live up to it. 

Thats exactly what I was thinking nintendo might do. I downloaded Super mario world on the VC and it is a great game. New super mario world would be a killer game!

Super Mario Bros. 4 wouldn't be a bad ideaaa.... (even tho technically new super mario bros. could be seen as mario bros 4 as its part of that seriesss...)

I always thought they would make new versions of Super Mario 2 then Super Mario 3. But a New Super Mario World would be just as great, or maybe even better. I would definitely buy a game like that.

Btw why didnt sega release the sega mega drive collection on DS... it's carts have the storage spacee... and it can definintly do the grafixx.... so any thoughts on that guys!?

I would love to ride more Yoshi!!! And to fly around with a cape. But they would have to add a new suit or two. Keep it fresh. SMW is one of my favorite Mario games of all time.

That would be a great idea! I have some ideas for this new game-

-NSMB was a PUSHOVER. I lover nintendo games and loved playing nsmb, but it was so easy. However, if they amke the game hard, casual players and 5 year olds won't like it. So I think what they should do is they should make it so that once you beat the game, there are super hard bonus levels. (If i rember correctly super mario world has bonus levels also, excluding star road)

-In nsmb, the reward for collecting all the star coins was crap. In nsmw, they should at least let you play through the first level of super mario bros in the new super mario bros graphic style, or something

-have a few speacail "co-op" levels. keep the star racing, add more levels, and better ways to kill your opponent. Also, they should have a mode where you jsut try to kill the other person, and don't just go after stars

-better minigames...

New super mario world could easily sell 10 million copies by the ned of the DS's life, and would firmly cement the DS's dominace over the PSP (as it stands, the PSP still has some chance of making a big comback, what with the slim and all)

 edit- for "new" suits, they should add a "new" frog suit, and something else, maybe a bowser suit (with a time limit, ike the mega mushroom)

I'm glad someone else was disappointed by NSMB...

Everyone would have played by now who wanted to. NSMB incorporates many ideas from SMW - in fact i believe it was more based on that than SMB, so there would be nothing (except Yoshi, but come on, one new mechanic?). Suits, secret exits, SMW enemies... were already in SMB.

Conclusion: There is not enough material or desire for such a game.
