The "Minus World" is World 36-1 and the 36th sprite in the game is a blank tile so that is what is displayed. Hence: World -1

In the article where I read about this glitch it was stated that it "only works on the first version of the Japanese NES", this is however proven to be false - since the video is made with a NES. I don't see why it would'nt work on a Famicom. Try it, and post your pictures!
