Forums - Gaming - Give ideas for videogames never done before you would like to see done.

This thread here is the inspiration for this question:

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=56029&page=1

In this thread, people listed a lot of remakes of games, or games like other videogames that were done.  So, I would like to propose something different here.  Give some ideas for videogames you would like to see come into existence that you don't believe you have ever seen before.  I would be flexible enough to say that the idea could be like another videogame you saw, BUT you explain how your idea is different.  And people could use their memory and recall games they saw that were like the idea discussed.  So, this thread is one part brainstorming, one part nostalgia.

Even if you feel a game may exist that you would like see done, feel free to list what it is like.  I am believing that it may be hard to come up with ideas that haven't been done already, so it is best to end up allowing some flexibility.

As I mentioned in a prior thread, I would like to see Fable II meet Civilization, without the need to do anything you don't want to do, like minigames.

I would want a Age of Empires cross with a JRPG. Don't know it would work but it would be cool. Maybe yu would level up certain armys... of have like characters that you would send but they are like not armys they are 1 person. I don't know but that would be cool.

The Warlords: Battlecry series is a bit like that.  You have a persistent hero you level up, and some characters in an army that gain experience.

It is very cool.  Not JRPG in its presentation though.  Puzzle Quest takes elements from Warlords: Battlecry and changes some stuff around.

More info on Warlords: Battlecry here:

Thank you :D Im not really a pc gamer:( Looks cool though.

Life as Pikachu - play as Pikachu throughout the events of the Pokemon tv series!

Welcome.  I am a fan of the Battlecry series, so if there is a chance to plug it, I will.  I know there have been multiple attempts at what you said that have been tired, including a D&D one where you would run a kingdom, but also go on RPG quests.  I believe also Kingdom Under Fire series is a bit like this to:

I believe the PC version was a definite split between an RTS and RPG.

By the way, you discussed an RTS title, but are not a PC gamer?  Just curious how that works

1. A game where your a sniper. Not as easy as putting the crosshairs over the guy's head though. You have to take into account wind, distance, his movement, travel time, etc. You have to take out high profile targets. Of course theres other guns too, but a focus on sniping.

2. A Mario FPS. Forget jumping on turtles, shoot the shit out of them with an AK-47

3. A WWI FPS. Screw WWII, lets go back even further. I know theres probably a couple but I don't know of any really good AAA ones.

4. Kind of like #3, a WWIII FPS set maybe in like 2020 or so. You should be able to fight for any side you want, not just the good guys all the time. Futuristic weapons, not lasers or any of that crap, but cool new stuff.

I think some of these are done:

1. Sniper game.  There appears to be a game called "Sniper Elite" (for XBox and PS2):

2. Not sure that will happen.  Although Nintendo may decide to do a FPS version of Smash Bros. Brawl.

3. There is a rumor of a WWI FPS in the works for the 360 (and PS3) "To End All Wars":

http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=25750831

There is a Civil War FPS that was done that appeared on the 360.

4. The WW3 RTS I believe is Tom Clancey's EndWar.  I believe it is on the 360, and possibly PS3.

As for a FPS, I believe Tom Clancey's GRAW series first that.  Frontlines: Fuel of War also would fit here.  I should of just had this as an RTS, so that came to mind.  Figured I would list it anyhow.

Super Mario (or Super Smash Bros) Paintball - basically Mario Kart meets FPS

A Buldar's Gate type RPG for Wii where multiple people could play the various characters on the same screen (4 wiimotes = 4 mouse). Online as well or course.

Pokemon MMO

FP Sports on Wii online. You control only one player first person perspective and the Wiimote is your hockey stick or hand. Use nunchuk to look around, move, check/push.

Jedi Knight Dark Forces for Wii with WM+ and awesome online multiplayer

Ok, let me give a "preferred" focus for this thread. How about things that exist outside of videogames that have never been done before? Like saying a year or so ago "Beer Pong". Since "Beer Pong" now has an videogame after it, it doesn't count.

How about something like a Church simulator? Your job is to play a Pastor Warren and build a megachurch.

Stuff like this would be what I am curious about hearing. However, it is interesting to see someone wants a Mario paintball game. Nintendo is due to come up with a family friendly FPS.
