I thought they would have made a whole lot more by now. That's several pennies per ps3. Anyway, it's better than nothing.

wow sony is really desperate for good news. This is just another example of how far the bar has been lowered for sony and the playstation brand. Sad.....downright pathetic.

Nice Ban ya got there, Troll.
So wait, they sold $1m. That isn't bad at all. However, does that offset the costs? What are the profits from that $1 million sold? How much has it cost them for all the servers and maintenance since it launched?
They had 15 million PSN users, yet only made 1 million dollars so far? So out of that 15 million, only 1 in every 15 people bought stuff (if $1 per item), and seeing that price varies, and the people that are buying, probably spend around $5 rather than just one small thing, I'd say its closer to 1 in every 30-40 people buys a single item.
Still, if it comes out that this is giving them a good amount of profits I will be much impressed! Although, they have yet to release that information, so as always I still have a feeling Home has not helped Sony yet.
This is more or less what I estimated they could get out of Home... All that's left to see is whether people continue buying stuff there once Home is a few months old.

Well we won't get idea of that until next December. Obviously the sales numbers are going to plummet for January, but thats got nothing to do with Home's staying power. I guess if it remains stable throughout the year it would be a good indicator, but comapring holiday to holiday sales seems like the best given when it launched.
@nightsurge
That includes the PSP PSN accounts that wouldn't be able to help home by buying anything. Without the number of unique PSN IDs that have downloaded home that kind of analysis is essentially impossible.
That's about what Microsoft makes every few hours from XBL fees. Not too impressed, but it's a start for Sony.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
This is sad, I wish people would waste money on important stuff....like me. I gotta wonder if XBOX will follow by making pay for avatar clothes, Id like to say XBOX players arent dumb enough to fall for this crap, but if PS players are Im sure XBOX players are.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
