What's so Japanese about MGS? It's made by the legendary Hideo Kojima, which he is in fact Japanese :).

And I'd also like to add this:
2 Year development cycle??? I want Quality, if that means waiting 4 years for the dev's to develop new Middleware AND the game, then so be it. Let 2 year cycles go to other series, but not One that many have always seen to be near the peak when it comes to production value. I don't want to see cut corners, and the way Kojima seems to feel about developing Metal Gear, neither does he.
4 ≈ One
Fans play MGS for the CUTSCENES and deep storyline, making the cutscenes shorter and dumbing down the story will alienate fans, including me.

OMG SPOILERS!!!! I haven't played MGS4 yet. Dude...dude...I mean I thought he might die but...x.x x.x x.x
I doubt MGS5 will go to the Wii. Its easier to make a Ps360 game than a PSWii60 game because the wii would have to be redone with competely different mechanics and graphics.
