I hadn't heard much about the game before the recent announcement but having checked it out now (since I'm more involved with gaming than I ever have been before) I think it looks interesting.
Overall it should be a good thing for the series.

i was interested in the ps2 one that came out along time ago. i just never got around to buying it. my first online game was FF 11. and i got addicted to that for awhile
if this one comes to america then yeah i'll buy it

On the PS2, it got lost among the shuffle. The PSP needed gems after dropping the ball, so it stood out more.
As for the Wii, of course the fanboys cheered because they stole an exclusive. The rest of the Nintendo fans were cheering because it was one of the first franchises given to the Wii, when third parties were basically flipping the Wii the bird.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Yeah, I imagine the fact it's coming to another platform turned some heads.
It did look interesting to me at first but..PS2.. not gonna hit my radar.

I start playing this series since MHF2 on PSP ,and i love it since then.So when it comes to my lovely Wii that make me really want this game.(I didn't play MH2G because they didn't port it to western ,and i can't read Japanese.)

TBH I didnt even know the game existed till I heard the MH3 announcement.

not that it would ever happen(becasue its a nintendo owned ip) but woudnt it be crazy if zelda jumped ship and went xbox/ps3
