Forums - Gaming - A question to all Microsoft and Sony fans

I am a Nintendo fanboy and 360 owner, have never owned a Playstation console.

I do, however, own 2 Sony TVs and a Sony BR player.

Outside of gaming, I can't be said to be a fan of one company or another. I look forward to seeing what everyone is bringing to the table.

I only really care about the console with Sony, so I suppose im more a Playstation fan than a Sony one.

As for Microsoft I would have to say that Visual Studio 2008 is by far and away their best product. Certainly it is the best development environment ever created and I couldnt do without it nowadays.

I love Microsoft, I love everything they stand for, I want them to be a part of everyones lives so when they wake up in the morning till they go to sleep at night I want them to always be in contact with a Microsoft product. I think there are no competitors which are as good as Microsoft and I want them to monopolise every market they enter so everyone can experience how they can make their lives better.

ICK such a fanboyish Microsoft hating place, I had to tone what I had to say down to make it more palatable for all the haters here...

Tease.

I used to really like Sony products, I had a new 51 inch Sony HDTV, a Sony laptop, and a Sony home stereo. Unfortunately they all broke within 2 years of owning them so It has left a nasty taste in my mouth when I think about it. So other than my PS3 and possibly a PS4 ( if there is one ) I will stay away from them like the plague.

Luckily Best Buy let me replace my Sony tv with a JVC, which I do love!

I like Microsoft.
I do.

Really my kind of business.
American.
Arrogant.
Awesome.
Big R&D investments
Bill Gates vision = My vision.

I love the Xbox products, it fulfills my gamer-side. Before it was Sega and Nintendo (80's and 90's), now it's Microsoft.
I have 2 Microsoft Zune players.
I have Windows Vista (on my laptop) and Windows XP.
I use Live Messenger everyday, keeping touch with my friend (Sorry ICQ, Microsoft did it again [total takeover]).

I can't wait for Windows Se7en. Never been as excited before for an OS, last time it was before Windows95 launch day.
And Microsoft Surface, amazing.

I also have:
- Microsoft Reclusa Razer Keyboard
- Microsoft BlueTrack Mouse (wonderful new technology)
- Microsoft Windows CE in my Sega Dreamcast.
- Windows Mobile in my Samsung Cell.

But don't get me wrong,
I also have a PS3, an iPod nano and I use Firefox.

Die Hard Microsoft fans? I'd love to be.

I know it's "trendy" to hate Microsoft. It always been. People doesn't like Giants and Microsoft is not for everyone.

But Microsoft is in everyone's life.

Every educated people on earth has touch one of these: Word, Excel, Windows, Windows Mobile in most Cellphones, Powerpoint, Hotmail, Microsoft Sync in Ford vehicles, Xbox, ASP, MSN (Live Messenger), name it...)

No other company has done this before.

My Gaming Setup

Corporations always have multiple brands.

Say the Playstation flopped, most people would write if off as a failure by 'Playstation' and not Sony. It's a damage limitation exercise as well as brand building for sales and marketing purposes.

My favorite electronics brand (by quality hardware) are Nintendo and Panasonic... But i have to say that i follow everything that Sony presents, because i know that they always try to make something interesting...

Besides, i owe to them (and Philips) the CD creation, some of the DVD's specs (like the Dual-Layer, Toshiba wanted only Double-Side), and the Blu-Ray disc (along with the Blu-Ray disc association)...

Now, i luuuuuuvvvvvvv SCE and the Playstation brand, especially the 1st party titles, that's the reason i keep buying and enjoying Sony's consoles...
----------------------------------------------------------------------

My sig says what i feel about Microsoft, however, i respect Bill Gates's vision, i met him in a conference and he's a cool guy, what i don't like is a company that bases all his monopoly in unreliable and inefficient products, despite that my gaming rig and my work pc both use Windows (and Ubuntu), i own every Visual Studio since the 1st one and i own SQL Server for some projects... Those are the things i still have to use because they're a necessity, and i hope someday some company makes a real market-threatening OS, that will force MS to do better...

About the Xbox brand, i don't have anything against it, but i don't like the 360 because the hardware unreliability (i don't like my discs scratched and multiple RRODs) besides, i already have a Wii, a PS3 and a gaming rig, i'm only missing a few titles that i play in a friend's...

I think Sony is a great brand, but i cant afford a lot of their products

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I am a Nintendo fanboy but love all of Sony's non-gaming products even though I can't afford much. (That's not to say I don't like PS3's also though)
